1. Bolder Ventures, Subang Jaya
Situated within USJ 1 Industrial Park, Bolder Ventures is the only Subang Jaya indoor climbing gym. With a newly improved look, it is now a bouldering-only gym with new climbing holds and walls.
Although the indoor climbing gym is comparatively smaller than other local gyms, it is known for its cozy vibes and supportive staff, especially from its founder, Safwan. Safwan is also a chief route setter for many local indoor climbing routes and competitions in Malaysia so you can expect both technical and fun routes in this location.
Bolder Ventures entry fee is RM 25 ($ 6) but if you want a Guided Pass from one of their instructors it is RM 55.
There are public parking lots in front of the gym. If you like a local gym with friendly vibes, drop by Bolder Ventures!

Their lead wall (sport climbing wall) takes up the largest space in the climbing gym, with lead routes grading from 5c to 7c. Many lead climbers enjoy training here as it is very spacious!

3. Camp5 1 Utama, Kuala Lumpur
I have a soft spot for Camp5 1 Utama because this is where I started climbing for the first time!
Camp5 indoor climbing has 5 locations in Klang Valley. This 1 Utama wall climbing KL location is their flagship and their first outlet. The Camp5 outlet is located inside 1 Utama shopping mall, on the 5th floor, New Wing.
Opened in 2005, it is the largest air-conditioned indoor climbing gym in Asia and is also home to Malaysia’s tallest indoor climbing wall which is 20.3 meters (66.60 feet).
That tallest indoor climbing wall is also known as the Pro Wall and it is only accessible to, you guessed it, the professionals. You can only climb the wall if you have been a certified “red card” (given by Camp5).
They have over:
- 67 bouldering routes
- 19 auto-belay routes
- 75 top-rope routes
- 65 lead routes
- A spray wall
Park at the Rainforest area at Level 5 for the closest distance to the gym.
The Camp5 Climbing Gym price is RM 42 for a day pass and an additional RM 12 for rental climbing shoes and climbing harness.
For first-timers, you can take the 1-hour Try Climbing course for RM 55. It is a guided climbing course with an instructor that includes equipment. If you plan to go on your own, you need a Camp5 member to host you as a guest. Your 1st entry is FREE (Excluding rentals) if you go on a weekday (this applies to all Camp5 locations).
Go have fun climbing One Utama!
Where: Location
Fee:
Off Peak (before 4 pm on weekdays): RM 31.50 ($ 7)
Peak: RM 42.00 ($ 9)
Operating hours:
Weekdays: 12 pm – 10 pm

4. Camp5 Utropolis, Shah Alam
This is Camp5’s bouldering-only gym. Within the 350sqm space, Camp5 Climbing Gym Utropolis has over 111 bouldering routes, from beginner-friendly VB routes to V8 routes so there is always something for everyone. They reset their routes frequently each week on a rotational basis, so you usually have about a month to tackle these problems!
The community and staff are friendly and encouraging so it is never a dull moment at this wall-climbing Shah Alam gym.
For first-timers, you can take the 1-hour Try Bouldering course for RM 35.
You can park at Utropolis Marketplace from RM 1.20 onwards. If you plan to save on cost, there is street parking available as well.
Where: Location
Fee:
Off-Peak (before 4 pm on weekdays): RM 24.00 ($ 5)
Peak: RM 30.00 ($ 6)
Operating hours:
Weekdays: 12 pm – 10 pm
Weekends & Public Holidays: 10 am – 8 pm
5. Camp5 Eco City, Kuala Lumpur
There is a rock climbing Malaysia indoor gym next to one of the most popular shopping malls in the city…and it is Camp5 Eco City!
Camp5 Climbing Gym KL Eco City is Camp5’s largest facility by area at 2,200 square meters. It has a unique setup: the bouldering section is separated by the roped sections, and consists of a free-standing top-out boulder. There are:
- 33 top-rope routes
- 12 lead walls
- 124 bouldering routes
- Tension Board
- Yoga Studio
- A dedicated kids’ climbing area
Personally, I am surprised by how often they reset the routes to keep the crowd excited. Great job route setters!
This family-friendly location has a nice seating area where parents can look out for their kids while they play and climb. The kids climbing area is also suitable for adults as well.
The average rock climbing KL price is RM 42 where many of the establishments are owned by Camp5.
Parking is around RM 4 for the first 3 hours. Occasionally, the mall runs a parking promotion so you can get discounted parking fees.
Alternatively, you can park at Mid Valley for cheaper parking as well as dining and shopping before or after your climb.
Where: Location
Fee:
Off Peak (before 4 pm on weekdays): RM 31.50 ($ 7)
Peak RM 42.00 ($ 9)
Operating hours:

6. Camp5 Jumpa, Kuala Lumpur
Camp5 Climbing Gym Jumpa is Camp5’s latest outlet. Opened in Dec 2019, it is located in the heart of the city of Kuala Lumpur. Often referred to as Camp5 Sungei Wang, this wall climbing Kuala Lumpur gym is located at level 3 in the Jumpa wing of Sungei Wang Plaza.
They have 15-meter high lead walls which can look rather intimidating to some (although not as intimidating as the pro wall at Camp5 1 Utama). Do not be fooled by the slightly positive walls, the roped routes can get really challenging!
In my opinion, the bouldering walls at Jumpa are the highest I have climbed in Kuala Lumpur. They also have some good spots and Wi-Fi to get some work done if you plan to “work from home”.
This climbing KL outlet has an additional feature which is a mini “ninja warrior” obstacle course known as Beastpark for all ages to try out. The Beastpark has an additional charge of RM 29 (weekday) / RM 39 (weekends) for a 90 min session. There is also a dedicated climbing kids area (that has LED lights).
Be prepared for the expensive parking rates in the city center. Parking starts from RM 4 for the first 2 hours and RM 1 (weekday) /RM2 (weekend) for every additional hour. For a cheaper rate, come after 6 pm for a flat rate of RM 5 per entry.
Where: Location
Fee (adult):
Climbing Gym:
Off Peak (before 4 pm on weekdays): RM 31.50 ($ 7)
Beastpark:
Weekday: RM 29.00 ($ 7)
Weekend: RM 39.00 ($ 9)
Operating hours:
Weekdays: 10 am – 10 pm
Weekends & Public Holidays: 10 am – 8 pm
7. Camp5 KL East, Kuala Lumpur
The long-awaited Camp5 KL East outlet has arrived!
With its grand opening on 1 August 2023, experience a bigger and better air-conditioned rock climbing gym with new Walltopia walls and ample space for bouldering, lead, top rope, and competition-style walls.
Camp5 KL East gym is accessible through the mall’s Level 1 carpark or at level 3 where the kids’ Play Climb area is.
Exprience bouldering on 3 to 4.5-meter (9 to 14-foot) walls, 12 meter (40-foot) top rope walls with 5 auto belay routes, and lastly, the impressive lead section with 15 meter (49-foot walls). It is easy to move around with very clear sections of each climbing area.
There will also be training walls such as hangboards, a cafe, and a fitness studio for calisthenics, TRX, and a weightlifting area.
The Camp5 KL East Price is RM 42 for a day pass.
Where: Location
Fee: RM 42
Operating hours: 10 am to 10 pm daily
8. MadMonkeyz Climbing Gym, Kuala Lumpur
Mad Monkeyz Climbing Gym is the first bouldering gym in Malaysia and a popular gym among OG climbers as it has been around for more than 11 years!
Located at Jalan Metro Wangsa in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur, this gym is a crowd favorite for both old and new climbers. Considered a pioneer for indoor rock climbing in Malaysia, they have about 185 sqm of padded climbing areas with equally fun and challenging routes, even with climbing routes across the ceiling!
Do be prepared that this space is not your average gym size, it is a cozy 1st-floor shop lot that does feed humid and warm and a little dusty from the chalk.
For first-timers, a guided class is RM 35.
If you are also looking for some outdoor climbing fun, MadMonkeyz frequently runs monthly outdoor rock climbing outings. Do check out their website to find out more!
Where: Location
Fee: RM 20 ($ 4) adult
Operating hours:
Weekdays: 2 pm – 10:30 pm
Weekends & Public Holidays: 10 am – 8 pm
9. Rocky BaseCamp , Shah Alam
Fancy becoming the next Kiromal Katibin? Did you know that Malaysia has its very own speed climbing wall?
The first speed climbing wall in Malaysia is located in Rocky Base Camp, Shah Alam. Located inside Aeon Mall Shah Alam on level 3 is a huge adventure space consisting of bouldering walls, a speed climbing wall, auto-belay climbing routes, and a kids’ playground. Definitely a family-friendly indoor climbing Shah Alam gym filled with fun activities to keep everyone busy!
The climbing instructors are experienced and friendly so your kids will be in safe hands.
There is plenty of parking space in the shopping mall as well as a variety of food courts and restaurants to choose from so you can always grab a bite before your climb.
Fun fact: this climbing wall (Malaysia-themed) is hand-painted!
Where: Location
Fee (2-hour session):
Climbing: RM 33 ($ 7)
Playground + Climbing: RM 45 ($ 10)
Operating hours:
Weekdays: 12 pm – 7 pm
Weekends & Public Holidays: 11 am – 8:30 pm
10. BUMP Bouldering Jaya One
BUMP Bouldering is a bouldering-only gym and the first premium fitness, lifestyle, and indoor bouldering gym. It is the only indoor climbing gym in Petaling Jaya.
How big is Bump Bouldering? BUMP Bouldering at Jaya One is 10,000 square feet with up to 5-meter high walls. With a cozy cafe that serves great smoothies and healthy snacks, a mini weightlifting area and a yoga studio, you will feel right at home while breaking a sweat!
While I found this gym pricier than other Klang Valley climbing gyms, I frequently visit this gym for its warm vibes and beginner-friendly walls (the height is bearable for acrophobic people like me). The crash pads here absorb minor falls well.
Personally, I am not a fan of their smooth walls and slightly slippery holds. For many, this is negligible as long as they can send the route!
For First-timers, their Introduction to Bouldering course is RM 50 for 90 minutes.
During the weekends, parking at Jaya One is the cheapest at a flat rate of RM 2.
Where: Location
Fee:
Off Peak (before 5 pm on weekdays): RM 24 ($ 5)
Peak: RM 36 ($ 8)
Operating hours:
Weekdays: 12 pm – 10 pm
Weekends & Public Holidays: 9 am – 7:00 pm
11. BUMP Bouldering Pavilion Bukit Jalil
BUMP Bouldering 2.0, also known as PBJ in short, is the newest outlet located in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. Launched in February 2023, it is located on Level 5 opposite TGV Cinemas, it will have new holds, new mats, and a Kilter board up to 70 degrees incline.
In comparison to its parent outlet, it is more refreshing with grainier walls for better smearing and friction but slightly smaller in terms of space. Many claimed that the grades are softer here (a 7 dot here may feel like a 5 dot in Jaya One) but I beg to differ as I felt the technical routes were super hard for me.
Where: Lot 5.84-01, Level 5, 2, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Persiaran Jalil 8, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur
Fee:
Off Peak (before 5 pm on weekdays): RM 24 ($ 5)
Peak: RM 36 ($ 8)
Operating hours: operates 10 am to 10 pm daily
12. B-Hub Bouldering, Petaling Jaya
Just when you think you can’t get enough of bouldering, another bouldering gym has touched down in Petaling Jaya offering a gym that is built for boulderers by boulderers.
What makes BHub Bouldering stand out from the rest is its challenging overhang routes and spacious atmosphere. As it is located in a warehouse, it is much easier to walk around compared to the mall gyms. Also, it’s the first climbing gym that opens past 10 pm!
Another thing to note is that they have invested in world-class competition holds such as Cheeta Holds, Morpho, 360HOLDS, UNDER BLUE HOLD, and Unleashed Climbing.
B Hub Bouldering gym’s price is RM 38 during peak hours (4 pm to 9 pm) and RM 28 during off-peak hours. (yay for some of us who are only free to climb after 9 pm!)
For first-timers, there is a trial package of two classes for RM 58 including rental gear. There are also meeting rooms for you to use such as the phone booth for solo workers, an enclosed space for 4, and long tables and chairs for an open working space.
There is a café inside selling pastries and toasted sandwiches (you can choose a few selection of breads such as focaccia, croissant, or sourdough) so you can grab a bite before or after your climb!
Where: 4, Lorong 51a/227c, Seksyen 51a, 46100 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Fee:
RM 38 (peak hours: 4 pm to 9 pm)
RM 28 (off-peak hours: 11 am to 4 pm, 9 pm to 11 pm on weekdays only)
Operating hours:
Monday to Friday: 11 am to 11 pm
Saturday to Sunday: 9 am to 8 pm
13. Skatepark Bukit Kiara – Jabatan Belia & Sukan WP Kuala Lumpur
Honestly, I wanted to gatekeep this place but I think more people deserve to know (so we can have more facilities like this!)
This is a newly installed bouldering area located above the skate park. You can consider it a Mont Kiara climbing gym so you can head here instead of trying to find an outdoor boulder in Kiara Park. This gym is mainly overhang so if you are a beginner boulderer, I don’t recommend coming here. But the best part about this place is that it’s FREE!
So if you happen to hang out in Mont Kiara, waiting for the traffic congestion to subside, you can head over to Bukit Kiara’s Skate Park, spectate some skaters, and tackle some bouldering problems.
Where: Location
Fee: Free
Operating hours:
Monday to Friday: 8 am to 10 pm
Saturday to Sunday: 10 am to 10 pm
14. Batuu Climbing, Petaling Jaya
Petaling Jaya climbers, rejoice because we now have another bouldering gym (soon-to-be full-fledge climbing gym with rope climbing in 2025) located at 3 Damansara shopping mall for you to play around.
Batuu Climbing is founded by Chang Zhao Hong (also known as @supazhao on instagram), who has an impressive resume co-founding BUMP Bouldering gym and CRUX particle.
Unlike most climbing gyms that are located on the top floor, BATUU Climbing is located on the ground floor, which means easier access for everyone. It also comes with a dedicated kids’ area, training area, spray wall, and a well-equipped gym.
Where: G-28, Ground Floor, 3 Damansara, 3, Jalan SS 20/27, Damansara Utama, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Fee: RM 41 (boulder only), RM 46 (full gym)
Operating hours: 10 am to 10 pm daily
15. Boulder Story Climbing Gym, Petaling Jaya
Opening on November 2024, our next PJ bouldering gym is located in a well-known shopping mall not to far from Batuu Climbing.
You can find them near Sport Planet, which is pretty apt considering Sport Planet also sells 5.10 climbing shoes.
More info coming soon when it opens!
Where: F21-F23A, Atria Shopping Gallery, Jalan SS 22/23, Damansara Jaya, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Fee: RM 39 (soft launch price)
Operating hours: 10 am to 10 pm daily
16. Rockworld, Johor Bahru
Johor Bahru is the 2nd state with the most indoor rock climbing gyms in Malaysia. Climbers will find that there are many popular locations for rock climbing in JB, both indoor and outdoor, due to its close proximity from Singapore. (Note: Singapore has more indoor climbing gyms than Malaysia!)
Rockworld is a comprehensive indoor climbing gym in Johor Bahru with lead, top-roped and bouldering routes to try. They set challenging climbing routes and also hosts many fun competitions with exciting prizes to test your climbing skills. But do not be intimidated by these strong climbers, they have a very supportive staff team like Nelson and Han to guide and cheer you on.
For intermediate climbers, there is a MoonBoard to experiment different routes on your own.
The Rockworld price for a day pass is RM 25 ($ 6). You can park outside their climbing gym, along the streets within the industrial park.
Rockworld also sells WISE chalk, founded by bouldering world champion Tomoa Narasaki.
Where: Location
Fee : RM 25 ($ 6)
Operating hours:
Tues to Fri: 6pm – 11:30 pm
Weekends & Public Holidays: 10 am – 10 pm
Closed on Monday
17. Camp5 Paradigm Mall, Johor Bahru
Surprise, surprise, Camp5 has a JB rock climbing location and it is located in Paradigm Mall, the largest shopping mall in Johor.
With up to 2,000 square meter of climbing area, you can lead, auto-belay, top rope, bouldering and have climbing birthday parties and there’s still enough space for everyone. Their tallest wall is 15 meters high, which is the same height as competition lead walls.
This Camp5 Climbing Gym Paradigm outlet has an “open” concept, where there is an elevated walkway beside the gym for the public to peer in. It does feel weird to have some non-climbing spectators halfway through my auto-belay climb but I got used to it eventually.
It is also multi-leveled with their cafe on the higher level beside a kid-friendly top-roped climbing area (belayer is ground-anchored).
The climbing gym is located on level 7 of the shopping mall, next to GSC cinemas.
Where: Location
Fee:
Off Peak (before 4 pm on weekdays): RM 31.50 ($ 7)
Peak : RM 42.00 ($ 9)
Operating hours:
Weekdays: 12 pm – 10 pm
Weekends & Public Holidays: 10 am – 8 pm

The place is kept very clean and attractive, with its 10 hand-painted themed climbing walls. The staff in this family-friendly gym are very experienced and professional, so bring your family here for a fun way to exercise together!

Climbing + Obstacle: RM 50 – Malaysian, RM 70 – non-Malaysian
Operating hours: 10 am – 10 pm daily
19. Tunku Mahkota Ismail Youth Centre (TMIYC), Johor Bahru
Tunku Mahkota Ismail Youth Centre is one of the latest indoor climbing gyms in Malaysia and it is FREE!
It is rare to find a climbing gym that is free, open to public and has the longest hours to climb!
Launched in December 2020 by the Johor government, it is a youth sports centre that has 11 facilities including a rock climbing facility, skate park, mountain bike trail, pump track, playground, multipurpose hall, playground, and an amphitheatre. With a 6.07 hectare space in the centre, there is ample space to jog around and visit the different attractions.
The rock climbing location is known as Rock Yard. It has a 12-meter top-rope wall and a 6-meter bouldering wall and a rather interesting open space concept. It is kept well-shaded from the sun and heavy rain while keeping it airy with the natural breeze and ventilation from its surroundings.
And if you are looking for some challenging events, the government also organizes some fun rock climbing competitions and clinics to attract more climbers to the venue!
Enter through Hutan Bandar MBJB to reach the Rock Wall. This place opens early and closes late so you can get in your morning workout or after-work exercise here.

21. PAMPA Rock Climbing, Melaka
Melaka is stepping up its game with its first ever indoor rock climbing Melaka gym! Enter PAMPA Rock Climbing Gym, the only climbing gym in Melaka.
Located next to Swan Garden Hotel Melaka, it has an open-space indoor climbing gym that has multiple top-rope routes and bouldering problems.
PAMPA Rock Climbing Melaka is a 5-min drive from the popular Jonker Street. This place is popular among tourists who prefer a workout after a scrumptious street food feast (chicken rice balls, cendol, nyonya laksa…). It is hard to miss with its bright holds and signature yellow and black walls. It is also kid-friendly, with some climbers as young as 3 years old scaling these walls!
As most of the top rope routes are slightly overhang, it can be challenging at times, although the hardest route on the wall is still doable (likely a 6c grade). I had fun ringing the bell on the easy routes though! This place isn’t as crowded as well, perhaps due to the limited routes available here.
The PAMPA Rock Climbing price is RM 25 per entry ($ 6) . If you will like to top-rope, regardless if you are an experienced belayer or first-timer, it is mandatory to take a first-timer introduction course for RM 55 which includes rental climbing shoes and harness.
There is free outdoor parking.
Where : Location
Fee: RM 25 ($ 6)
Operating hours:
Tues – Fri : 2 pm – 10 pm
Sat & Sun : 10 am – 8 pm

Bouldering. Top Rope. Lead Climbing. CATS. It’s the best way to summarize what Hangout Climbing Gym at The Palazzia has.
This climbing gym Penang location is one of two Hangout branches. You will find an amazing warm community of climbers who have a passion to learn, grow and be better. And to my knowledge, they are the only gym that provides climbers a place to stay for the night! (you may have to bring your own sleeping bags and hammocks though!)
Plus, they have cats.
If you are a beginner, come check out the Palazzia branch! For new climbers, there is a new climber package for RM 50 that consists of a 2-day pass, belay service, and gear rental.

The Metro Avenue climbing gym is a bouldering-focused gym that is more suited for intermediate climbers. Hence if you are looking for challenging bouldering routes, you can check out this climbing gym Penang location at Jelutong. Also, not forgetting this place has cats too (They are named Bella and Luna).

Moving on to Sarawak, the Land of Hornbills! Sarawak is the largest state in Malaysia and is known for its national parks and beautiful mountains.
Now with a new location and new re-opening in February 2023 at Kuching, Sarawak, Altidude Climbing Gym is a climbing gym that has altitude with an attitude. Formerly known as Climb Asend (another punny name), it is a hip and fun premier indoor climbing gym in Kuching that has multiple bouldering routes, top-rope, and lead walls.
The staff and community here are equally supportive and friendly. Personally, this gym is more focused on bouldering routes so you will find more challenging walls here! (P.S. Their walls are named after Sarawak’s mountains so test your geography!)
They were previously on the lower ground floor of The Hills shopping mall but are now located in an industrial lot near UCSI Hotel Kuching.

30. Batu Caves, Selangor
By far the most famous outdoor rock climbing location in Malaysia, Batu Caves rock walls attract newbies and seasoned climbers alike. Many international rock climbing enthusiasts will stop by Batu Caves first before exploring other terrains.
Batu Caves has multiple popular walls: Damai Wall, White Wall, Nanyang Wall, Nyamuk Wall, Comic Wall, Gua Lepak, Kura Kura, and Red Rocks. Damai Wall is the most established climbing park and has an entrance fee of RM 5 ($ 1). The other walls are less accessible and require the guidance of a local climber to get around.
Location: Gua Damai Extreme Park, Jalan Fairuz Off Jalan Zamrut, Kampung Melayu Wira Damai, 68100 Batu Caves, Selangor
31. Bukit Takun, Selangor
If you are interested in multi pitching, then Bukit Takun is the perfect place to multi-pitch, with many beginner routes ranging from 5b to 6b. Bukit Takun is a 300-meter-limestone rock that is known for its rewarding panoramic angles and is potentially Malaysia’s first outdoor rock climbing site (yes, even older than Batu Caves!).
There are plenty of sport climbing routes available (bolted routes) although to get to the top, some trad climbing is involved. As Bukit Takun is considered semi-private property inside Templer Park, proceed with caution or go with an experienced tour guide who knows the ropes of this place.
Location: Templer Park, 48200 Rawang, Selangor
32. Gua Lepak, Selangor
Also known as the Volleyball Site, Gua Lepak is actually a food court location in front of Batu Caves. The direct translation is “Hanging Out in a Cave”, which is pretty apt as people can chill and dine here until midnight.
The owner has given permission for the space behind to be used as a rock climbing site. Like Damai Wall, Gua Lepak’s rock climbing fee is RM 5 for Malaysians and RM 10 for non-Malaysians. This payment goes to the fellow heroes who have kept this place clean and well-maintained.
Location: Jalan TIB 1/3, Taman Industri Bolton, 68100 Batu Caves, Selangor
33. Bukit Keteri, Perlis
First discovered by the international climbing team Mammut Expedition in 2007 as a rock climbing site, Bukit Keteri is located on the north side of Malaysia and is a limestone crag that is surrounded by beautiful paddy fields.
As part of Perlis’s eco-tourism initiatives, Bukit Keteri is gaining popularity as an outdoor rock climbing competition spot as seen in a recent competition called North Wall.
Fun Fact: the Crown Prince of Perlis and his wife were the first to climb this wall!
Location: Kampung Bukit Keteri, 02450 Kangar, Perlis
34. Gunung Lang, Ipoh
Gunung Lang is a limestone crag that is only open through appointment only. It is located inside Gunung Lang Recreational Park where people can jog, cycle, and have a picnic while watching other climbers scale the walls. They have beginner-friendly sports climbing routes on this natural rock site.
Location: Gunung Lang Recreational Park, Jalan Damai, 30010 Ipoh, Perak
35. Jesselton Park, Penang
The only bolted outdoor climbing area in Penang, Jesselton Park is a joy for outdoor seekers. It is located in Pulau Pinang, the island side of Penang (if you didn’t cross the bridge, you are in the wrong place). The park is near a housing area so this isn’t the time to be rowdy monkeys here (although it is hard not to scream when encountering a crux).
Location: 60, Taman Jesselton, Taman Jesselton Height, 10450 George Town, Pulau Pinang
36. Dragon Horns, Tioman Island
Known as the Twin Peaks of Gunung Semukut for its two pinnacles, Dragon Horns are for the extreme adrenaline junkies of the outdoor climbing community.
There are two ways to get to Tioman Island, the most common way would be taking a ferry from Mersing to Kampung Genting followed by a water taxi to Kampung Mukut and hike up to a hill for the start of an awesome multi-pitch expedition. The second way only works on certain days (you can try your luck in the weekend) where there is a direct ferry from Mersing to Kampung Mukut.
Ferry times are released bi-monthly depending on the ferry operator. (thanks Shukri and G Scott for the update)
International rock climbers such as Arnaud Petit and Cedar Wright have scaled these shocking 300m-high walls.
Location: Pulau Tioman, Pahang
