If you think the number of climbing gyms in Malaysia are a lot, wait till you see the number of indoor rock climbing gyms in Singapore.
Singapore rock climbing is not to be underestimated. There have a number of IFSC World Cup qualifiers that compete all around the world, which is partially the reason why climbing has become such a huge sport in Singapore.
The popular SMU Gravical competition attracts amateur and novice competitors from around the South East Asia region. Even international World Cup climbers like Janja Garnbret and Yoshiyuki Ogata have stopped by some of these gyms!
You will notice that many of the climbing gyms in Singapore have a modern, state-of-the-art look. That is because every few months there are new relocations, new outlets, and new walls! (I am updating this article monthly because the climbing scene in Singapore is growing rapidly)
